Since I first began translating legal documents, I’ve always wanted a space to chronicle the small stories, challenges, and solutions that come with this work. But, like many, I got caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, leaving little room to reflect and write.
Now, with a brief respite during the Lunar New Year, I finally found the time to set up my blog. I’ve even secured a personal domain name, marking this as a special milestone in my career. This space will be a repository for the lessons I’ve learned over the years—where the complexities of legal language meet the precision of translation.
As they say in Chinese, “千里之行,始于足下” (A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step). Today, I take that first step, and I hope this blog will be a place of growth and connection for both myself and those who share the same passion for the art of legal translation. Let’s embark on this journey together, one post at a time.
t’s great that you found the time to start this blog. I’ve been working in legal translation for a few years and often struggle with certain terminologies. I hope to learn some tips from your posts!
