最好不要把Insolvency用于个人

最近看到一篇关于bankruptcy和insolvency对比的文章，称现在这两个词都可以用来修饰‘公司’和‘个人’的破产。一直以来，我都习惯用bankruptcy这个词来修饰‘个人’的破产，所以为此，我专门查了一下维基百科，证实了自己的想法。

Insolvency means the inability to pay one’s debts as they fall due. Usually used to refer to a business, insolvency refers to the inability of a company to pay off its debts.

Bankruptcy is a legally declared inability or impairment of ability of an individual or organization to pay its creditors.

从上面的解释中可以清楚地看到，insolvency既通常是对‘公’的，而bankruptcy这个词既可以对‘公’，也可以对‘私’。

当然，语言的使用一直在变化的过程之中。在法律翻译的时候，大家用词最好还是以小心谨慎为原则吧！
